Grammar check
Spacing, pronoun capitalisation, and a plainer sentence.
What this tool does
The grammar check is a mechanical pass on a reply you paste. The rules path collapses double spaces and says so. It capitalises a standalone lowercase i when it is the pronoun. If the text contains both it's and its, the note tells you to check it's (it is) against its (belonging). The score starts at 100 and loses 20 per note, with a floor of 25. If nothing mechanical stands out, the note says this is not a full grammar proof. The rewrite is the same text with those two edits. It does not reorder sentences, fix agreement, or soften tone. The English coach on the everyone hub is the tool that shortens long sentences. A model pass, if configured, is still marked for review.
How to use it
Paste the reply you are about to send. Read the notes before you trust the rewrite. If both it's and its appear, decide each one yourself. The tool will not pick for you beyond flagging that both are present. Put the cleaned text back into your own editor. Do not send it straight from the score.
Worked example
Paste “i will email you once i have the order number.” The rules rewrite collapses the double space and capitalises I: “I will email you once I have the order number.” The notes mention the spaces and the pronoun. Paste “It's in its box and it's late.” The note asks you to check it's against its, because both forms are present, and it does not delete either of them for you. The jobs link on this page searches HiringBuddy for published roles matching “support”. An empty list means nothing published matched. It is not a comment on the wider market. A signed-in candidate can save the attempt on their profile. Saving is not an application, and it does not show the attempt to an employer. Employers see people who apply to their own jobs.
Questions
- Will it fix commas and agreement?
- No. The rules path covers extra spaces, a lowercase pronoun I, and a warning when it's and its both appear.
- Is the score a writing grade?
- No. It counts those mechanical notes. A clean score still says it is not a full proof.
- Does it change the promise I made?
- It should not change the words except for spacing and the pronoun. Read the rewrite anyway.
