Job description writer
A draft from the title, skills, and pay you enter. Missing pay stays missing.
What this tool does
The job description writer drafts from the title, the skills, the location, and the pay you choose to print. The rules draft states workplace and job type if you set them, the location you typed or “Not set”, and the experience numbers you entered. Salary wording appears only when a minimum or a maximum was entered, and it uses those figures. If neither was entered, the draft says it states no salary range because none was entered. It does not borrow a market band. Skills are the ones you listed. The draft is not posted as a job. Publishing a role is a separate employer flow with approval. A model draft is marked for review. Do not add age, gender, religion, caste, marital status, or a photograph requirement. The HR quiz on this hub marks that as the wrong basis for a job description.
How to use it
Type the title and the skills a hiring manager already agreed. Type location if you know it. Leave pay empty if it is not agreed. Read the draft and delete any line that overclaims. Only then paste it into the job form if you are an employer. A candidate can use the same box to practise writing a description, and that practice is not a vacancy.
Worked example
Title “Accounts assistant”, skills “Tally, GST”, location “Kolkata”, pay left blank. The rules draft names that title, those skills, and Kolkata, and it says no salary range was entered. It does not insert a CTC. Add a minimum and a maximum only if those are the figures the employer intends to show. The in-hand calculator is not a source for that band. The jobs link on this page searches HiringBuddy for published roles matching “hr”. An empty list means nothing published matched. It is not a comment on the wider market. A signed-in candidate can save the attempt on their profile. Saving is not an application, and it does not show the attempt to an employer. Employers see people who apply to their own jobs.
Questions
- Will it fill a salary if I leave pay blank?
- No. The rules line says no range was entered.
- Does writing a description publish a job?
- No. Posting is the employer job form, and a person approves it.
- Can the draft require a gender or an age?
- It should not. Remove any such line. The site does not use those attributes to rank people.
