What this tool does
HR policy quiz is the multiple-choice check on the HR and recruitment hub. Job descriptions, PF, ESI, and interview scope. There are 4 items. Each item has one keyed option. The page is there so you can rehearse the distinction before an interview, not so the site can rank you against other people. Item 1 asks “A job description should be based on”. The option this quiz marks correct is “The work, skills, and conditions the employer already decided”. Describe the work. Do not screen by age, gender, religion, caste, or family status. The other choices are A protected characteristic; An invented salary survey; The previous employee's age. Item 2 asks “PF in the payroll tool is”. The option this quiz marks correct is “12% of basic, with an optional ₹15,000 wage ceiling you switch on”. You enter basic. The ceiling applies only if you tick it. The other choices are A flat ₹1,800 for every employee; Deducted only if the tool guesses basic; An income-tax slab. Item 3 asks “ESI employee contribution in this tool”. The option this quiz marks correct is “Applies at 0.75% when monthly gross is ₹21,000 or less”. Above ₹21,000 monthly gross, the tool does not deduct ESI. The other choices are Applies to every salary; Is chosen by the model; Replaces professional tax. Item 4 asks “An interview question kit should”. The option this quiz marks correct is “Follow the skills already written on the job”. Questions and the 1–5 scorecard stay tied to skills the employer listed. The other choices are Ask about marital status; Score personality from a photo; Decide the hire.
How to use it
Read the prompt, pick one option, and submit the set. You do not need an account to try it. Three correct answers out of four score 75, because the score is correct divided by the number of items, times 100, rounded to the nearest whole number. A wrong pick still leaves the explanation on the item, which is the useful part. The score is not a grade from an employer and it is not sent anywhere by itself. If you want it kept, sign in as a candidate and save the attempt. The quiz does not use a model, so it runs the same way when no AI key is configured.
Worked example
Work the first item on its own before you look at the key. It asks “A job description should be based on”. If you choose “The work, skills, and conditions the employer already decided”, that item is marked correct because Describe the work. Do not screen by age, gender, religion, caste, or family status. Then do the rest without changing an earlier answer to chase a round number. A perfect set scores 100. One miss on a four-item quiz scores 75. Zero correct scores 0. None of those numbers is a percentile. The jobs link on this page searches HiringBuddy for published roles matching “hr”. An empty list means nothing published matched. It is not a comment on the wider market. A signed-in candidate can save the attempt on their profile. Saving is not an application, and it does not show the attempt to an employer. Employers see people who apply to their own jobs.
Questions
- How many questions are on the HR policy quiz?
- This page has 4 items. The score uses that count as the denominator.
- Does a high score go to an employer?
- No. Saving an attempt stores it on your candidate profile. An employer sees applicants to their own jobs, not this quiz.
- What does the score actually measure?
- It measures how many keyed options you matched. It does not measure speed, and it does not compare you with anyone else.
- Can I retake it?
- Yes. The items stay the same, so a retake checks whether the explanation stuck. It is still practice.
