What this tool does
KYC and payments quiz is the multiple-choice check on the Banking hub. PAN, IFSC, nomination, and UPI. There are 4 items. Each item has one keyed option. The page is there so you can rehearse the distinction before an interview, not so the site can rank you against other people. Item 1 asks “PAN is used in India as”. The option this quiz marks correct is “A permanent account number for tax identity”. PAN identifies the taxpayer. It is not an approval. The other choices are A debit card PIN; A branch IFSC; A loan approval. Item 2 asks “IFSC identifies”. The option this quiz marks correct is “A branch for an electronic transfer”. IFSC is a bank-branch code, not a credit decision. The other choices are The customer's age; The interest rate; A cheque's amount. Item 3 asks “A nominee on an account is”. The option this quiz marks correct is “The person recorded to receive proceeds under that account's rules”. Nomination follows the account rules. It is not a credit score. The other choices are A co-borrower automatically; The branch manager; Optional proof of income. Item 4 asks “UPI maps”. The option this quiz marks correct is “A virtual address to an account for a transfer the apps already support”. UPI is a transfer address. This quiz does not move money. The other choices are A credit score to a job; Cash in hand to CTC; A loan to a salary.
How to use it
Read the prompt, pick one option, and submit the set. You do not need an account to try it. Three correct answers out of four score 75, because the score is correct divided by the number of items, times 100, rounded to the nearest whole number. A wrong pick still leaves the explanation on the item, which is the useful part. The score is not a grade from an employer and it is not sent anywhere by itself. If you want it kept, sign in as a candidate and save the attempt. The quiz does not use a model, so it runs the same way when no AI key is configured.
Worked example
Work the first item on its own before you look at the key. It asks “PAN is used in India as”. If you choose “A permanent account number for tax identity”, that item is marked correct because PAN identifies the taxpayer. It is not an approval. Then do the rest without changing an earlier answer to chase a round number. A perfect set scores 100. One miss on a four-item quiz scores 75. Zero correct scores 0. None of those numbers is a percentile. The jobs link on this page searches HiringBuddy for published roles matching “bank”. An empty list means nothing published matched. It is not a comment on the wider market. A signed-in candidate can save the attempt on their profile. Saving is not an application, and it does not show the attempt to an employer. Employers see people who apply to their own jobs.
Questions
- How many questions are on the KYC and payments quiz?
- This page has 4 items. The score uses that count as the denominator.
- Does a high score go to an employer?
- No. Saving an attempt stores it on your candidate profile. An employer sees applicants to their own jobs, not this quiz.
- What does the score actually measure?
- It measures how many keyed options you matched. It does not measure speed, and it does not compare you with anyone else.
- Can I retake it?
- Yes. The items stay the same, so a retake checks whether the explanation stuck. It is still practice.
